Our cuddly animal consultation hour
When a child enters our office, they have a cuddly animal with them, for which they have discussed a disease in advance with their parents or in kindergarten. This ranges from abdominal pain due to too many sweets to a broken leg after falling from a bunk bed. The teddy doctor asks in the medical history exactly what the stuffed animal is missing. This is followed by an examination in which the child measures, weighs, listens to the heart with the stethoscope and shines the lamp into the eyes and ears. If a patch or bandage can help at this point, the teddy doctor and the child care for the cuddly toy together.
If necessary, the teddy can also be examined in our bone camera, the X-ray machine. In case of a fracture, the leg can be plastered expertly and cuddly. For particularly severe cases, we also have surgery.
At the end, the children receive a certificate of bravery in the pharmacy.
